Digital security is the protection of your data, money, and access to important services.
SIM card — your digital key
Banking services, messengers, and social networks may be linked to your phone number.
How to protect your number:
- Register your number with your mobile operator using your own documents.
- Block remote SIM card replacement.
- Set a PIN code for the SIM card.
Phishing — don’t take the bait
Fraudsters create fake websites of banks, government services, email services, and popular stores.
How to protect yourself:
- Check the website address — even one extra letter can matter.
- Don’t click on suspicious links, especially those about «payments», «assistance», or «prizes».
- Don’t enter personal or banking details on unverified websites.
Vishing — when a fraudster calls
A fraudster may pose as an employee of a bank, the police, or another institution and tell you about a «suspicious transaction», «card blocking», or an «attempt to take out a loan».
Remember:
- Don’t share SMS codes, PINs, CVVs, or passwords with anyone.
- End the call and call the bank yourself using its official phone number.
- If someone calls claiming to be a loved one, hang up and call them yourself.
Digital hygiene — every day
4 simple rules:
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Use unique, strong passwords for different services.
- Regularly update your operating system and apps.
- Don’t share passwords or verification codes with anyone.
Protect your credit history with UBCH
Keep track of what happens to your credit history:
- Check your credit history regularly.
- Activate «StatusControl» — receive notifications about inquiries and changes to your credit history.
- Activate FREEZE if you do not plan to take out new loans. It restricts new creditors’ access to your credit history for the approval of a new loan.
- Lost your passport? Register it using UBCH’s «Register a lost passport» service.
